Klopp Names Three Clubs That will be Title Contenders Next Season

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has named three clubs he expects to pose a strong challenge for the title next season. He however did not rule out his club from challenging the other teams for the Premier League crown next season.

Liverpool have been at the top of the table for a greater part of this season and became Champions of the English Premier League after Manchester City lost to Chelsea last week, ending the Merseyside club’s 30 years wait for the Premier League crown.

Klopp’s Liverpool have been unchallenged for almost the entire season with the English giants sitting 23 points clear at the top of the table and could break Man City’s record of 100 points from 2017 – 2018 season.

However, the German coach does not expect his club to have a complete dominance in the league and an easy ride to the title next season. He expects Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United to put up a much bigger fight for the Premier League title next season.

Jurgen Klopp feels Man City will pose a strong challenge for the title next season as they are an outstanding team, while Manchester United are in an outstanding shape, and Chelsea are in a really good shape and doing some interesting business.

In his Wednesday press conference, Klopp said, “City will be strong next season, United will be strong next season, Chelsea will be strong next season.

“The three of them, it’s obvious – City is just an outstanding team, United are in outstanding shape, Chelsea are in really good shape and is doing some interesting business.

“Tottenham will not sleep, Arsenal will not sleep, Leicester will be there. The thing is, we have to play 38 games and who wins most of them can win the league.

“That happened now for us the first time, so we will not defend the title next year, we will attack the next one. That will be difficult enough but we are in the same situation as other teams.

“What we achieved last week is something for the history books, the rest is just hard work. We will try to show that tomorrow night. City is a super team and we have to show we are ready for that.”
