The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has ranked Kenya among the biggest Africa’s economies based on the 2019/2020 budget.
The body placed Kenya at position six, behind leader Nigeria followed closely by South Africa, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco at two, three, four and five respectively.
According to the fiscal report released on Friday, June 12, Tanzania was perhaps the most improved economy closing the top 10 gap.
Angola, Ethiopia and Ghana were contended with seventh, eighth and ninth spots based on their gross domestic product (GDP).

2. South Africa GDP – USD 360 billion
3. Egypt GDP – USD 300 billion
4. Algeria GDP – USD 170 billion
5. Morocco GDP – USD 120 billion
6. Kenya GDP – USD 99 billion
7. Angola GDP – USD 92 billion
8. Ethiopia GDP – USD 91 billion
10. Tanzania GDP – USD 62 billion
