According to the Anybody star, Nigerians have had enough with their oppressors and are agitating for change and seeking a fresh start.“You have to understand that this is bigger than Nigeria because you have to understand that Nigeria is the biggest black nation on the face of the earth. I believe that any revolution will start from there,” said the On The Slow singer in an interview.

He added that what is going on in Africa’s most populous nation is setting the pace for other nations. “If Nigeria can overcome and reach its full potential and the youth can make sure that happens by rising up to fight for their rights like they’re doing at this time, then that’s going to be like a domino effect for rest of the world, you know,” explained Burna Boy.

Adding: “That’s why it’s so important than just us as Nigerians and what we’ve been suffering for years at the hands of these politicians. This is just the beginning, man. It’s not just about #EndSARS at this point, it’s become a revolution. It has become ‘We want the new Nigeria’ and soon it will become ‘We want the new Africa.”

The singer went on highlight why the movement, started in 2017 against the excesses of the now-defunct police unit SARS (Special Anti-Robbery Squad), ought to succeed for a better tomorrow. “This is the most important moment in Nigeria’s history… that is what we are witnessing right now because if nothing changes after this, if this doesn’t work, then it is over,” he revealed.
