It was all roses over the weekend as ForteBet extended a helping hand to expectant mothers with the much-needed mama Kits. The donation was given free of charge to mothers at Pader Health Centre III in Pader. The aid was officially handed over by ForteBet’s Alex Muhangi and John Nanyumba.
According to Simon Otto, one of the medical personnel at the centre noted, “It sounds like a joke but the truth is that many of these expectant mothers can’t afford these mama kits.
Even those that can buy them, it’s out of strain because most of them come from very low-income communities.” Otto added that, this, and more reasons, was why they came up with this monthly health camp, most importantly, with the support of the kingdom.
Muhangi said, “As ForteBet, we don’t want to witness loss of life of a mother or child at birth. One of the ways to avoid such deaths is by preparing adequately, and this is why we are here today. Every mother here today will go back with a kit, free of charge.”
