Police arrests two private security guards over rape

Police have netted two security guards accused of raping two women in wakiso district. According to Fred Enanga the police spokesperson said Cornelius Khauka and julius Okello were netted last week for allegedly raping two women aged 23 and 19.

It’s noted that the suspects reportedly found the victims gathering firewood in a private forest which belonged to a one Richard Tebagwa.

“When the guards come across them they started threatening them for having trespassed in the forest,” Enanga said.

To forgive them they demanded that they( victims)undress “ and they allegedly raped them separately according to Enanga.

However the police person also noted that they had learnt of the act when the victims reported the matter at Namusela police post in Wakiso.

According to Article 123 of the panel code act chapter 120 provides for a definition of rape stating that any person who has unlawfully carnal knowledge of a woman or girl without her consent commits rape and the maximum penalty for rape in Uganda is death.
