No Nedda protesters have been sent to remand till 22nd June.

The eight peaceful protesters who were arrested yesterday in Makindye for banging their pots and pans in protest have been transferred today from Nateete Police Station to Katwe Police Station later taken to Makindye Chief Magistrates Court where the judge stood and sent them on Remand at kitalya up to 22nd of June 2020.

The names of protesters are Musiri David Bwogi, Male Kenneth, Peter Wasswa, Kato Paul, Musisi Eddie, Kibirige Emmanuel, Kaddu Sadat, Kyazze Muhammed.

On Monday, after the alliance of Bobi Wine and Besigye and other opposition political parties, the two leaders endorsed the “No – Nedda’ peaceful demonstration for all Ugandans who are starving in this lockdown as the only mean they can use for the government to listen to them and give them food.
