One of Nigerian leading actresses of all time, Genevive Nnaji has green lighted Uganda’s Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert alias Bobi Wine’s road to state house in a Facebook post which appears to be her endorsement for the musician-cum politician.
The star who has been on track all the way from 2019 when Bobi made his public believes the 38 year old pop star is the right face to lead Uganda’s struggle as Africa readies herself to a continental revolution.
Nnaji who is apparently tussling it out with the Muhammadu Buhari repressive regime over the endless police orchestrated killings and brutality has called Kyagulanyi’s candidacy a revolution. Nnaji says Africa as a continent is apparently under a mass revolution that aims at changing the outdated governments which enslave their people rather than serve them.
Even in the impending #EndSars, the Nolywood legend is one of the celebrities that have been using her online channels rl castigate the Buhari administration. Some local press reports indicate that Nnaji even joined the protesters on the streets of Lagos and Abuja. This is how passionate she is as far as the struggle for change is concerned.
On Saturday, the Nigerian star wrote a brief solidarity note for Ugandan presidential candidate Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert alias Bobi Wine, 38, who is challenging the tyranny of Gen. Yoweri Museveni who ascended to power through the gunfire in 1986. Several artistes world over have welcomed Bobi Wine’s bid and perceive it to be the sole hope for the once sounding Pearl of Africa to reclaim her fading glory. Below is Genevieve Nnaji’s Post;
