Sadam Juma Departs From KCCA

 

KCCA FC have confirmed departure of another key player as the team’s squad continues to take shape ahead of the 2020/21 season.

The club has said that attacking midfielder Ibrahim Sadam Juma will not be at Lugogo following expiry of his contact.

Sadam Juma is among the players Mike Mutebi is said to have deemed as surplus to requirements at the end of the season.

Sadam Juma said that he had Turned down an offer from KCCA to renew his contract as he seeks “fresh challenge.”

he stylish midfielder is strongly linked to a move back to Express FC, while offers outside Uganda are also on the table.

Sadam Juma has played for Victoria University and Vipers before signing for KCCA FC in 2017 after crossing from rivals Express FC.

He scored on his KCCA FC debut against FUS Rabat and went on to impress in big games including against Al Ahly at Namboole, but his spell at the club has been hampered by injuries.

Sadam Juma joins a list of players that KCCA FC have so far confirmed their departures including Erisa Ssekisambu, Jackson Nunda (URA) Jamil Malyamungu, Tom Ikara (Police), Mike Mutyaba (retired), Eric Ssenjobe (Police) and Mustafa Kizza (Montreal Impact).

Nicholas Kasozi and Muzamir Mutyaba are reported to be leaving the club as well while Juma Balinya and Moses Kalanzi are rumoured to have signed for the 13-time champions.

On Sunday night, KCCA officially promoted Dominic Ayella from the junior team.

New signings at KCCA FC include Italian Stefano Mazengo Loro, Charles Lwanga, Ashraf Mugume, Denis Iguma, Bright Anukani, Brian Aheebwa and Samson Kigozi.

The move to sign Pius Obuya reportedly hit a dead end after the player failed his medical while Busoga United’s Ibrahim Mugulusi, SC Villa’s Yayo Lutimba and Derrick Ndahiro were also approached by the club.
