Burkina Faso Fails To Displace Uganda In Group B After Beating Malawi

Burkina Faso Continue to sit second with the same points(7pts) with Uganda Cranes in Group B after a 3-1 win over Malawi on Thursday night.

A brace from Ajax forward Lassina Traore in (2′ minute and 26′) and Bryan Dabo’s (87′ Penalty) late strike gave the Stallions maximum points at Stade du 4 Aout in Ouagadougou.

Gerard Phiri’s Junior goal from the spot in the (80′) proved to be a mere consolation for the Malawi Flames.

Lassana could have went back home with the match day ball but missed from the spot at the hour-mark.
