I WON’T REST UNTIL BUCHAMAN GETS JUSTICE AGAINST POLICE, KUSASIRA VOWS
Singer and presidential advisor, Catherine Kusasira has vowed to help presidential envoy on ghetto affairs, Mark Bugembe alias Buchaman get justice following his brutal arrest and alleged torture by police officers.
In an interview with Spark TV, Kusasira slammed police for alleged brutality against an unarmed and physically disabled, self-proclaimed ghetto president, describing it as an abuse of human rights.
“I call upon the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Martin Okoth Ochola to discipline his officers. They brutalized Buchaman well knowing he’s disabled and unarmed. They even fired live bullets during his arrest yet he was unarmed. The way they treated him is an abuse of human rights and I will make sure he gets justice. The officers who beat him should be arraigned before the police disciplinary court and charged,” Kusasira said before adding that the faded singer is currently admitted to Nakasero hospital in Kampala following the alleged torture.
Holding a gun does not mean you have all the powers to mistreat a citizen, Kusasira added before asking the Police Force to clear his medical bill.
