Edouard Mendy Joins Chelsea As Replacement For Under-Fire Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga
Chelsea signs goalkeeper Edouard Mendy from Rennes.
Edouard Mendy has become Chelsea’s eighth signing this summer.The Blues have spent £22million to secure the signature of the 28 year goalkeeper from the French Ligue 1 outfit -Rennes.
Edouard Mendy, who has signed a five-year contract, is now expected to become Chelsea’s No 1 with Frank Lampard increasingly frustrated at Kepa Arrizabalaga’s high-profile mistakes.
Chelsea conceded 54 goals in 38 Premier League games last season and Lampard wants Edouard Mendy to help eradicate such a poor record.

The senegalese Internatinal joined Rennes in 2019 Reims(French Club).Edouard Mendy has 8Caps at the Senagalese National team since he made his debut in 2018.
