Done Deal: Manchester United Seal Jadon Sancho,
Norwegian legend, Jan Age Fjortoft believes the Jadon Sancho to Manchester United deal is already done, and will likely be announced soon.
Speaking to ESPN, the former Sheffield United man suggested it is likely there is an already existing agreement between Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of the 20 year old, just like we had with Real Madrid over the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009.
In his own words, “Well at Borussia Dortmund, they’re always praying to keep their players and at the end of the day they will lose them, won’t they.
“I’ve got a feeling that last summer there was a Cristiano-kind of Manchester United deal, where Ferguson said to him ‘listen, I can’t let you go to Real Madrid now, stay for another year, do as good as you can, and they will let him go’.
“Sancho scored his first hat-trick at senior level, he is on fire, he is doing assists, he’s 20, he’s English, there’s lots of English clubs who would spend some money to get him.
“I would be very surprised if he’s not going this summer and sometimes I feel that Dortmund just say ‘hopefully we’ll have him here next season’ when they kind of know that Sancho is a lost case for them.”
We don’t know if Fjortoft’s comments are to be taken seriously, since nothing of this sort has been reported concerning Sancho before now, but if it is, it would be contrary to recent reports that claim United have turned away from signing the Englishman for now, and will instead, focus on Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, who is a cheaper alternative.
