Mauricio Pochettino is Newcastle’s prospective new owners’ No 1 choice as manager

There are reports that Mauricio Pochettino has been made the number one target for the managerial role as Saudi consortium awaits full takeover of Premier League club Newcastle United.

SunSport reports that the prospective new owners who are eyeing the manager are ready to pay him £19million a year to take charge of the club which will make him the third highest paid manager in the world.

Pochettino was sacked by Tottenham after a string of poor performances.
